Riccardo Zucca (Trieste – Italy, 1973) joined SPECS in January 2008. Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technology from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain (2015). Thesis director Prof. P. Verschure. MSc in Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain (2008). Thesis supervisor: Dr A. Giovannucci MSc in Psychology from Università degli Studi di Trieste, Italy (2001)
Research Interests: thalamocortical dynamics following brain injury. Computational and organisational principles of whole-brain networks. Cerebellar mechanisms of acquisition and encoding of adaptive responses in the context of Pavlovian classical conditioning. My research is conducted employing both computational modelling and electrophysiology.
